Click Continue registration, answer three short questions and verify your email. If a place is free, it's yours for 10 minutes from that moment: finish registration to lock it in.
2. Import & analyze real games with Socrates
Bring your games from Lichess or Chess.com, test alternative moves in the What-If Sandbox, and try Independent, Guided and Socratic coaching.
3. Test on Web & Android and share honest notes
Explore Know Thyself, personal blunder puzzles, and all three themes (Light, Dark and Navy) across desktop and phone, then tell us what we should improve.

Everything you need to know about activating your place, your 30-day allowances, and how your feedback shapes the public launch.
How do I activate my beta access?
Our first group has 25 places. Answer three short questions, then verify your email. When a place is available, verification starts a 10-minute reservation. Complete registration within that window to activate access; applying alone does not create an account or activate a place. Refreshing or resending does not extend the reservation. If no place is available, join the waitlist for an availability notice; that email does not reserve a place.
What happens after the 30 days?
Beta access lasts 30 days, with 600 game reviews, 3,000 Tutor interactions and 1,000 imports across that period. There is no credit card required and it does not automatically turn into a paid subscription.
Do I need a particular chess rating to join?
Not at all. We want honest perspectives from every experience level, from improving casual players to seasoned club and tournament competitors. Tell us how you play and what you want to understand better.
What kind of feedback helps the team most?
Walk us through a real moment at the board: what game you imported, what you asked Socrates, what clicked immediately, and where an explanation or screen felt unclear. Critical notes are just as valuable to us as positive reactions.
Can I test on both Web and Android?
Yes. Your beta account works across both the Web application and the Android app, with all three visual themes (Light, Dark and Navy) available to test.
Is this the same as the 40% launch waitlist?
No. This page is specifically for beta tester registration. If you want to reserve the 40% first-purchase discount for public launch day, head back to the pre-launch waitlist page.
